A Brief History

Kells Counselling was first established as the Kids Support Group in 1992. KSG was a counselling service which specialized in child and family therapy.

In 1995 the Kids Support Group branched into two divisions under the name of Crossroads Family Services. One division continued to provide counselling services, while the second division provided general foster care.

The foster care agency gradually grew to providing over 250 foster care beds. In 1999 the Foster Care division and the Counselling division split into two separate companies: Crossroads Family Services and Kells Counselling.

Kells, as a sister agency to Crossroads, become the strong, multi-service counselling agency that it is today. Along with People Solutions EFAP, Kells and Crossroads form the Centre for Family Solutions.
